Infrastructural Development in Abia: Opposition Parties now Collapsing their Structures into PDP – Odeghe
Following the well acknowledged massive infrastructural development going on in Abia State courtesy of the Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, opposition members have continued to abandon their parties and moving in droves to the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Confirming this development recently during an inspection tour of completed and ongoing road projects embarked upon by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in the Amuzukwu area of Umuahia North as attracted by the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, Chairman of PDP in Urban Ward 2, Hon Eme Odeghe, said since the road projects began, he and his executives “have been receiving members of the opposition parties who have also been collapsing their structures into the PDP, in droves”.
Continuing, the Chairman said he was overjoyed that all the good things happening to the PDP in his area are happening under his tenure.
“This is exactly what we bargained for and we are grateful we have a personality like Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji who knows the worth of quality representation in the House of Assembly and has attracted these life transforming projects to us.
“The entire Ward will always be in the forefront of supporting both the Governor and the Speaker politically and otherwise. They are good men.
“Not only on delivering dividends of democracy to their people, but the Speaker as our Leader in this constituency and even beyond, has also always been a shoulder that holds the head of every downcast person in this Constituency. He has always touched souls and God will continue to empower and sustain him and our Governor who is, based on incontrovertible evidence, performing wonderfully well”, Hon Odeghe concluded
