Abia to Demolish Buildings Used by Kidnappers
Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has declared that buildings used by kidnappers for their criminal activities will be demolished by the state government in accordance with the laws of the State from Monday, February 15, 2021.
The Governor who stated this while featuring in a radio programme on Vision Africa 104.1fm Umuahia on Wednesday said the decision to take such actions against kidnappers was part of measures instituted to keep perpetrators of violent crimes away from Abia.
While reiterating the measures via his official Twitter handle @GovernorIkpeazu later in the day, the Abia Chief Ececutive said buildings where arms, ammunition and illicit drugs are found will also be demolished.
