Breaking: Plane Crash in Abuja (PHOTOS)

A military aircraft King Air 350 has crashed in Abuja due to engine failure.

Although details of the crash are still sketchy as at press time, airport sources said the plane crashed in a village near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

Confirming the incident via his Twitter handle, the minister of aviation, Hadi Sirika wrote:

“A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure enroute Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm & wait for the outcome of investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls if any.🇳🇬🤲🏽😩”
